Mstr Titus
Titus (46) was born on a Monday at Coronationville hospital,
Johannesburg on 12 July 1976. He is the eldest of three children. In his
early childhood years, Neal attended George Street Primary and
completed his school career at Ennerdale Secondary School. He is a proud
family man. He has been happily married to his beautiful wife for 22
years and has been blessed with 2 children. He is most comfortable at
home and loves everything that is family orientated. His wife has been
his pillar of strength for the most part of his musical journey, and she
is the most trustworthy person that he knows.
He sees himself as a very calm and patient guy. He firmly believes that his music can make a difference to anyone who listens to it, and that was his inspiration to start making music. He aspires to use his gift to make music that is one of those timeless classics. Mstr Titus creates music because of his love and passion for music. He believes in good music that is timeless and that speaks to your soul no matter what your situation in life and what you are experiencing. Neal makes music that revolves around anything and everything about relationships, the good parts, the bad parts and even the ugly parts of them.
His parents and his sister are his role models in life. His parents, who are Pastors, instilled wisdom on life in him, and every lesson that he was taught by them were all God-centered lessons. On the other hand, his sisters’ life as a successful business owner has proven to him that everything and anything is possible.One of the people that truly inspires him is a close friend of his, Christal Webb Jacobus, also a well-seasoned musician. She is a go getter who does not allow anything or anyone to get in her way. She is always highly focused on everything she takes on and supports him in everything he does. He always highly values her opinion.
Neal has found his musical inspiration in the likes of Jimmy Swaggart, The Winans, Shirley Ceasar, Kirk Franklyn to name a few, due to the fact that gospel music always filled their home. In the 2000s he developed a new sense of music inspiration and fell in love with RnB & Soul. Among his favorites were Maxwell, R Kelly, Joe, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu and duo Zhane, not forgetting groups like Boys II Men, Next, All 4 One that also had an influence on his music.
Neal will be releasing his EP later this year, which will be followed by his long awaited album, Long Overdue, shortly after.
